Why The Definition Of God Should Be What You Want It To Be

What is the definition of god or could the meaning of god really be defined. We live in this world that we have allowed ourselves to be manipulated by others into what to think. Religion was created to control you, to control your mind.  As you now have groups among groups divided into believing in their god. In what someone’s thought of what a god is.

I was an “atheist”, but I feel that just divides us all into those groups I spoke of. That us against them mentality we still hold. I am more free thinking than I was before and  I always say our perceptions should change into a new reality. Stubborn thoughts lead us no where, but to our own decrepit demise.  It’s all about shifting your perceptions, to see those windows, to jump through that window and free fall to see the other side.

“I do not believe in God and I am not an atheist.”
― Albert Camus,

Before it was fuck your damn god because everyone shove’s religion down your throat, that mentality of  you must believe in what I believe in or something is wrong with you. Like how we choose a political side and say the left is mightier than the right or vice versa as we stay bickering among ourselves into the divided groups and categories, that proverbial box that we have closed ourselves in.

“God is a circle whose center is everywhere and circumference nowhere.”
― Voltaire

Being an atheist was being closed into that box as well. It was the same bickering among each other. It was that same thing as what religious people would do but in the reverse. No you must believe that there is no god, and the going back and forth and we all know it’s not going anywhere because of those stubborn thoughts that we hold and don’t want to let go of because we fear change, we fear thinking differently, we conform to a routine and that is how we have made life. Life has become a routine, just like our mindset and we just keep regurgitating those thoughts.

“God has no religion.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

Now I think a bit more differently, thus this blog posting. Now what is the definition of god? I think “god” should be whatever you define it as. Not what we all think or know as god, but god should be something true to them. God is whatever you want it to be, god could be the universe, god could be the stars, god could be Gaia, nature and with that being said, god could be CANNABIS! God could be FREEDOM, or it could be that god is in YOU! Collectively inside all of us. The trees, the rivers and oceans and all the species around us making us collectively one. God could be your conscious, god could be your soul. But whatever god you hold, should be true to you.

There was a time where there were many gods and goddesses, before Christianity banished them all and spoon fed the world  into what the world NEEDED to think, usually by force or face condemnation, just like most religions do to this very day, as if somehow we still live in the dark ages. You must believe it and generation after generation, it was all passed down. Spoon feeding after spoon-feeding.

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”
― Epicurus

So my question is if Christianity never told us what we needed to believe in. Never controlled and manipulated, Would that concept of a god creep into your head and would you have a definition of what it is and what it means to you on your own accord.  Would you question reality and keep asking questions instead of being born with that thought planted inside you, only to flourish into the same regurgitated thinking.

By no means am I trying to offend no one religious. But I feel that we need to unplug any thoughts we have been instilled with and plug ourselves with the what if’s and the how and why’s. Taking a step back and seeing the bigger picture and letting it all soak in. Letting go is true freedom. Freedom to what binds us. Let’s stop the cycle and let the next generations to think for themselves and to develop their own opinions freely.

“Religion is still useful among the herd – that it helps their orderly conduct as nothing else could. The crude human animal is in-eradicably superstitious, and there is every biological reason why they should be.
Take away his Christian god and saints, and he will worship something else…”
― H.P. Lovecraft

There are a wave of people growing to that concept, our children should not be regurgitated clones made in our image, I wrote a blog about raising betters seeds not clones which can be read by clicking here., they should have their own individuality instead of how we want to mold their mind to be, to follow their own path instead of your own.

Respect is what we need to grow, respect and tolerance to the intolerable things we deem in this world, our world. Starts with respect and consideration.  We need to respect and consider other people’s view of god but we must break from that dogma. Deep down question everything.

“I tried to believe that there is a God, who created each of us in His own image and likeness, loves us very much, and keeps a close eye on things. I really tried to believe that, but I gotta tell you, the longer you live, the more you look around, the more you realize, something is fucked up.”
― George Carlin

I mean we could have been made, engineered by aliens, shit, aliens could be our gods. They could be among us right now. That might sound crazy, but anything could be a possibility. We must think  it might be a possibility we don’t know.

“And if there were a God, I think it very unlikely that He would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence”
― Bertrand Russell

We will never know and that’s the mystery of this beautiful sole life that we have , but I believe the bickering and this global divide we have with ourselves needs to end so we can enjoy this life in peace together. I know that sounds far-fetched but it’s a vision of wanting to see a better world where we have our own individuality as unique and special each that every one of us is.

Our beautiful souls trapped in a shell with a conscious that has been trapped and enslaves with shackles of ignorance. We need to accept each other as we are. Accept that the way we all think, should be different because every thought should be embraced, peaking through the windows in life. To evolve further than staying in the same ol’ rut.

“Independence is my happiness, and I view things as they are, without regard to place or person; my country is the world, and my religion is to do good.”
― Thomas Paine,

Let’s spread positivity instead and even that could be the definition of god, instead of spreading and smothering ourselves into conformity. In a way people might view me as an atheist or agnostic, but I have my god and I won’t share what my god is because it’s my god and my sole definition of what god is and that is something special we should hold to ourselves.

religion

Maybe share it with a few other souls, but never to spread that my god is better than any other gods and never to spread a belief into others. But one true god that people now hold is the fact that money is now their god. Money is something people blindly worship a paper dollar. They hold on to a belief that without it they would perish, behold the mighty dollar. But by all means if you want money to be your god, then hold that god close and be true to yourself. Let it be special. But god is what you make it.

“Because here’s something else that’s weird but true: in the day-to day trenches of adult life, there is actually no such thing as atheism. There is no such thing as not worshipping. Everybody worships. The only choice we get is what to worship. And the compelling reason for maybe choosing some sort of god or spiritual-type thing to worship—be it JC or Allah, be it YHWH or the Wiccan Mother Goddess, or the Four Noble Truths, or some inviolable set of ethical principles—is that pretty much anything else you worship will eat you alive. If you worship money and things, if they are where you tap real meaning in life, then you will never have enough, never feel you have enough. It’s the truth. Worship your body and beauty and sexual allure and you will always feel ugly. And when time and age start showing, you will die a million deaths before they finally grieve you. On one level, we all know this stuff already. It’s been codified as myths, proverbs, clichés, epigrams, parables; the skeleton of every great story. The whole trick is keeping the truth up front in daily consciousness.”
― David Foster Wallace,

In closing, if someone chooses not to believe in any god. Then that is their decision, just like it is your decision to believe in a god. We hold something that is beautiful, the freedom of choice, the freedom of decision and the freedom to think for yourself. No one should be stripped of those freedoms just because you believe in what you believe in because we are just limiting our own consciousness. If you need religion to live, if you need a god. That’s great, but don’t act as you are morally superior than anyone else because of it.  As stated by Thomas Paine above, To do good is my religion and I will go into that in a further post. So don’t forget to subscribe.

By the way this was a stoned thought of the day brought to you by purple widow blended with super silver haze. 70 percent sativa with that mild indica kick. Hai Karate!

Do you think we all must believe in a god?

Do you think we all must believe in one god? If you do believe in a god, why must you feel that everyone must worship your god?
