Many in Puerto Rico Care More About Drinking Alcohol More Than Their Own Island

Hello wild ones, welcome to my website. I have been living on the beautiful paradise for the last 13 years now and I love Boriken and it’s people. I want to see this island thrive and be the paradise that it truly is. For the last 11 years I took it upon myself to take care of the beaches and rivers from trash and raising awareness to this problem as I would walk from beach to beach with signs. I also took it upon myself to raise awareness about many of the problems facing this island as I believe there needs to be more people who are vocal about the problems as I find many stay silent.

One of the problems is alcoholism, I believe it is a big problem that contributes to many of the other problems, as such the case with all the trash found throughout the island. Click here to read why alcoholism is a problem no one talks about.

Yesterday I drove up the mountains of the beautiful town of Ciales just to find trash all over the roads as you will find all over the island and newsflash. its not tourist who trash all these roads, nor is it tourist who trash the beaches or rivers. Because it is a majority, not all but many of my brothers and sisters from boriken whom call this home.

You would find the roads scattered with beer cans and bottles and trash as many drink and drive everywhere. They would toss it out of their windows not caring about the very community they live in. The very same communities their families and friends live in who all call home. Because treating this magical island like trash, like a landfill has become culture.

All many care about is drinking, eating and having a good time and that is all many live for. That is what has priority over everything else. I don’t see the respect nor the love for this island the way many love their flag. I see pride but as I always mention, that pride doesn’t mean a thing when you treat what you are prideful for like garbage.

We could blame the government, we could blame education or lack of thereof and many here who are in denial could blame tourists. But ultimately many of the people need to look deep and hard in the mirror and see who has to be the one to rise up and take responsibility for their actions. To open their eyes to see the paradise that they truly live in and this behavior is totally unacceptable when you live in such a magical beautiful paradise that is BORIKEN.

It hurts me to continue to see boriken look like a landfill where ever you go. Hurts me to see how many are blind to this because it has become normal. This is what they pass on to their children. Time to wake up and treat boriken with the respect and love that BORIKEN TRULY DESERVES!

In this following video I share my thoughts on why I believe that many, (not all) of the people care more about drinking, partying, having a good time than they do their own island.

Vlog; Cleaning Beach After Ocean Spits Out The Trash After Storm in puerto rico

After a tropical storm here in Puerto Rico, I found the coastline filled with trash as the ocean spit back out the trash that many would leave at the beach and which went ignored as many people would rather ignore the trash rather than pick it up.

I always do my one bag challenge when I go to the beach or river. It is simple, you bring a bag with you and pick up whatever you can. If everyone does it, we could change the world. Click here to read more about my challenge.

So I went and picked up whatever I could for 2 consecutive days. There was just too much trash for one man to take. Which is why I want to encourage others to start taking action and stop ignoring the trash. I am sure most of the trash that I could not take with me went right back into the ocean.

Why Pick it up?

The question is WHY NOT? We often don’t think about the consequences all this trash has not only on our world but the species that inhabit it. The species that we really don’t think or no longer care about. I pick it up knowing that they suffer because of humanities stupidity.

I pick it up because I ask what type of world do we want to leave behind. I pick it up because I choose to want to do something positive for our world and the species that inhabits it and leave a positive footprint instead of negative ones. I think we as capable humans have the power to be the cure instead of the plague that humanity has become. I think we should be the caretakers of this beautiful planet and the species that inhabit it. So I will do what ever in my power to make the changes by being the change. Video: You know you are in Puerto Rico when you find tampons and diapers at the beach

I am in the beautiful paradisue that is Puerto Rico. But a paradise that is lost as I continually find diapers at many of the beaches and rivers.Sadly, I also find many tampons. I even found diapers on my farm which I obtained last year.

I would never understand this mentality. This is the type of world many of those who do this want for themselves and their children. This is their children’s inheritance.

Now I am sure many people would be upset at me as many just see me as an outsider talking bad about the island as I have lived here for the last 9 years. But this is my home and I choose to use my voice, while many people stay silent to this problem and choose to ignore it.

Don’t get mad at me, get mad at all this trash all over this beautiful island. This is paradise and we should not be accepting this as normal.

Video: The Stupidity Of Humanity: Finding Mask At The Beach

The stupidity of humanity. The first week they reopen the beaches here in Puerto Rico and this is what I find. The newest addition of trash to be found everywhere alongside diapers, beer cans, cigarette butts and plastic everything.

We as humans are worried about this pandemic, but we should be worried about what we are doing to the planet. We are the real virus consuming everything in site and destroying the planet and the species that inhabit it.

We must start changing our ways and decide to start being the cure.

Video: Many in Puerto Rico want the rivers and beaches open just to leave trash

The beaches and rivers have been closed in Puerto Rico for about 2 months now due to the pandemic. I am sure many of the people here in this beautiful paradise were anticipating returning back to all these beautiful spots to enjoy what this paradise has to offer. I am also sure that many of those people were thinking to themselves, I can’t wait to return to the beach or river just to leave my trash.

You would think that many would learn to appreciate what they have when it is gone, but NOPE!. They would continue on with their bad habits and continue this cycle of trashing all this beauty. Sad to say but many people on this island don’t deserve this paradise. That includes many humans around the world. We don’t deserve this paradise of a world we live in.

At the time of this writing, the beaches and rivers have reopened. In the following video which was recorded last week, I found trash when very little of the people went there. I would pick up garbage one day just to find more the next. With the rivers and beaches now open again. The floodgate of trash will return tenfold. I think the beaches and rivers should remain closed since many can’t truly appreciate, cherish and love what they have.

I am sure people will get mad at the title. But won’t get mad about all the trash found on this paradise. anywho enjoy the video…

Puerto Rico: Throw The Garbage In Front Of City Hall, Not In Nature

I have been living on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico for eight years and driving through the island I always tend to find the garbage hidden in nature, as well as finding toilets on the beach, diapers, tires and other nonsense. We must stop this madness. If the government does not want to pick up your trash or because some of the towns here started to charge for pickup and you don’t like it. What you should do is throw the garbage out on city hall or the capital building, not on this beautiful paradise that is your home.

They don’t realize the paradise that is Puerto Rico.. Nature has become the people’s garbage can, as they would dump their garbage wherever they can in nature.

We do not realize that this world is our home and home to other species. It is not a landfill, nonetheless, it is how we choose to treat mother Earth. We no longer respect the earth and that is because we no longer have respect for ourselves. As we have become inconsiderate, therefore Respect and consideration is something that we have lost.

They would cry that the government is not picking up their garbage. Just like the people would say there are not enough garbage bins on the beaches. It seems that the people depend so much on a government to come do everything for them, since they it seems that they cannot take responsibility for their actions.

But in the town I am residing in and I am pretty certain all of the towns, they have trucks from the municipality that come by when you call them. I also believe they come by every 2 weeks or so to pickup things like sofas, toilets, etc. So I am not sure what possess people to do this to their island, to their home. They sure seem proud of their island and profess their love for it. But that doesn’t mean anything when they continue to treat this paradise like a landfill. If they don’t come to pick up your garbage, again, here Is my proposition, instead of throwing it out in nature, you take the garbage and you throw it out on the steps of the capitol building or city hall. Throw the garbage with the rest of the other garbage found in those buildings.

Take it out on the government, not at this beautiful island, our beautiful world. Which I am sure most people won’t dare to do that. But would happily leave their sofa, toilets, tires and the rest of their crap at the beach that will be visited by their children and grandchildren.

Ultimately, Garbage is the responsibility of us all. We must end our mass consumption. We produce too much garbage. As we buy things we do not need, just to keep adding to the endless piles of garbage that we continue to create. Then we have no idea what to do with it. Just like how we should stop our mass consumption of plastic as I wrote here. We have to change our way of seeing the world and the way we treat it.

I believe we should have fruit trees and flowers all over this beautiful world, Instead of having garbage all over nature. But one thing is for sure, we must start taking better care, not only of our world, but of ourselves and each other.

Lets live more consciously, this should not be our purpose in life as a humanity, to live in this self destructive way. We are the change. Let’s take action to create a better world, a more positive world. Our purpose should be more than just living to exist, when we should exist to live beautifully. respect your world, our mother nature.

Proposal: Punishment For Littering Our Beautiful World

Hello my beautiful wild souls, I have been living in Puerto Rico for 8 years and have spent the last 5 years on a mission spreading awareness about all this inundation of trash all over this beautiful island. I believe there needs to be stricter laws and punishment for littering. In this post I will write on what the government of Puerto Rico and everywhere else for that matter should do.

So many beautiful rivers and beaches in Puerto Rico and most of the well known ones get filled with trash on a daily basis.

If you drive down these beautiful roads you would also find trash everywhere. Beer cans everywhere as people here drink and drive without impunity.

So I think there needs to be a stricter law. If anyone is caught littering they should be hit with a large fine, even if it is just one plastic cup. A fine of 1,000 would suffice for first offense and going up after that.

Also anyone caught littering should also do 8 hours of community service of cleaning up the garbage on the roads, beaches and rivers. They would also plant fruit trees and flowers or they could refuse and choose 1 week of prison for their first offense.

Second offense. If the first time they don’t learn anything, for their second offense there punishment for litter would be a bigger fine and serve 3 days of that same community service. This time wearing a giant garbage bag to demonstrate the garbage that they are. Ok, Ok I got a bit radical there. Can you blame me?

There should also education on the environment from an early age. Cultivate a different mindset than the current one we have where the environment has just become an afterthought.

Furthermore I also believe that corporations should be held liable for the pollution they put out. But since they are all in bed with the government that would never happen. Governments and the political parasites are also trash and could only care about the money they pocket at the expense of the environment.

That is my proposal. Time to crack down on littering and send the people and the corporations a message of not accepting this any longer.

Video: Puerto Rico Paradise or landfill? Which World Do We Prefer

Puerto Rico Paradise or landfill? This question also applies to most of the world. I drive around this beautiful island, visit the beaches and rivers and all I find is trash everywhere.

We have forgotten how this world could really be a paradise. We have to look at the beauty of what it is and  start changing the way we treat this beautiful world around us and how we view it. We have taken heaven and confined it into prison.

Here is a video I made of the beautiful places in Puerto Rico, the one side they show you while hiding the other reality that most people ignore here and that is the landfill that this beautiful world is becoming.

But by no means let this discourage anyone from visiting this beautiful treasure. Because there are so many beautiful treasures on this island to visit.
