HOW TO UNDERSTAND AN INTROVERT.

What do you picture when you think of an introvert?

“Writing is something you do alone. Its a profession for introverts who want to tell you a story but don’t want to make eye contact while doing it.”

  –  John Greene

Well for the most part, if you have seen me at the beach, I am a great example of an introvert. Most people would not understand why I enjoy being alone.  I am not trying to shut people out, I am just very selective of letting people in. So I tend to be very awkward among people because that is not the setting I am most comfortable being in.

“Solitude matters, and for some people, it’s the air they breathe”
― Susan Cain

Being an activist and an introvert for me is not easy, since I get people talking to me all the time, in which I would stick my head out of the proverbial bubble and strike a quick chat and then pop my head back in the bubble and go back on with getting lost in my own thoughts and in nature. Not so easy for me to stand there holding my signs protesting.

Many people associate this personality type with being shy or aloof, when really they just tend to reflect inwardly. In fact, introverts can just easily be social butterflies like their extroverted counterparts, they just approach it differently. But that’s not all that makes up an introvert: They also are extremely detail oriented, tend to be old souls and make the most of downtime.

Artist Roman Jones has created a handy guide that details everything you need to know about the “quiet type.” Read on to discover what introverts really think on a daily basis. Who knows? You may be able to relate to the personality type more than you thought.

Now most of you who have met me, can get a better understanding as to why I am the way I am. It’s nothing against anyone. Not because I am shy or because I am “crazy” or anti-social. I just enjoy my little bubble. Just enjoy getting lost in my own head.
