Many Get Offended By The Way I Use My Voice for Defending Puerto Rico From Trash

Since 2013, I have been using my voice speaking out on all the trash that is found all over this beautiful paradise that is Boriken. I am considered radical by many because I never had a filter. I speak my truths, Never sugar coating anything.

Many have felt offended by what I always say and probably why I never had much support on the island. As many see me as an outsider talking bad about the people or that I am trying to paint a bad image to the island. Which is not the case and I am not the one painting a bad image. It’s many of the people here who treat Boriken with no love or respect.

While many are offended by what I have to say. I was always offended by how many treat this magical island. Its sad that many are offended by what I have to say instead of the problem I am trying to raise awareness to. So I toned it down a notch so that I won’t offend as much.

But yesterday I had a confrontation with a family. As they left a bunch of their trash at the beach which I knew it was theirs. But when I approached them to hand them a bag, they denied it was theirs. That ignorance is what sparks me and ignites this passion to continue this mission.

That filter is coming off once again and let it offend who it wants to offend if they feel like my truth hurts. Because I am offended each and everyday I drive down these roads to see Boriken looking like a giant landfill. I am offended at going to the beach to clean it up just to find more trash the next time that I go. Offended by the ignorance of many.

I have been working hard to better my Spanish to better communicate directly to the people. Making more videos on social media. in Spanish. Although I always feel like a lost cause because many just don’t care to listen. But I will continue.

I would like others to feel what I feel. To continue to touch that nerve. My signs are made to touch that nerve for those who choose to read them. One reason why I continue to bring my signs out. Even through the adversity of what I have to go through and having PTSD from being shot in the face for defending a beach.

Truly our nerves should be touched by seeing this disrespect for Boriken, but I truly feel many don’t feel a thing. It’s normal, it has become culture for many. (not all).

Many will just continue to blame the government for not wanting to clean up after them. Just like many will blame tourists. Which by the way, all the trash is from many of the people that were born on this magical island. Because many have no clue where they live as they have taken this island for granted.

Its OK if I continue to lose followers. As I continue to do what I do in trying to educate and raise awareness. Those who want to continue supporting me, will continue to do so. Because they know my intentions and know that I am speaking for nature and boriken and truly feel the same. Those who don’t want to support me. Well that is OK as well. I can’t appease everyone. Many always tell me how I should use my voice and criticize the way I use it. But I invite those people to use their voice they deem fit. I will use mines. that is what makes us unique.

But many will criticize how I use my voice and never use their own. So if you have a problem with how I use my voice. If you agree with what I have to say but feel its to harsh. Please use your own. That is what I am trying to inspire. For others to use their voice instead of accepting the way things are.

I feel nature and this magical paradise needed a voice. So i chose to be one. But it needs more voices. At least I could say that I am using mine. I am finely tuning this voice, getting better at Spanish to continue making more videos. Although i sometimes find it pointless and a lost cause since many here just don’t care. But I will continue to try to touch those nerves and spark that change.

Grateful for all those who has followed me for a long time. grateful for those new who support what I have been doing. truly grateful. This has not been easy but having your support means the world to me and I appreciate it very much.

Video: Tires Were Slashed at a Beach In Puerto Rico For the Third Time

My tires were slashed yet again for the third time in the span of three years. Every time it is always both tires of one side. It must be a person who knows me and who visits the beach as much as I do . I was just enjoying the beach, did not confront anyone and yet this happens.

For 7 years, I have taken care of the beach as I became the self imposed guardian of the beaches. I have been shot in the face, Threatened many times. It gets exhausting when all you are trying to do is conserve this beautiful paradise from trash. Sometimes I feel like giving up because what is the point. It seems like many people here just enjoy this paradise trashed.

I must be careful driving around or visiting the beaches until I am able to get a new car where they don’t wont recognize it. But I will continue to clean the beaches and continue to raise awareness. Thanks t0 everyone who supports me.

The Destruction Of Poza De Las Mujeres In Puerto Rico Continues

I am still shocked. But at this point I guess I shouldn’t be. About 4 years ago I wrote about the destruction of this beach in the hands of many of the people who leave their trash all over it. Which could be read here.

Well the destruction continues not only to this beach but many beaches and rivers around the island. Allow me to introduce to you behind the scenes of Puerto Rico. This is the entrance to a beautiful beach, poza de las mujeres.

This is how many of the people treat it. Oh and there is a large dumpster 10 feet to the right of this that sits empty. Then many people would say they need more garbage cans every where conveniently there for them. The people don’t need more garbage cans, they need more brain. The problem is that they are too lazy to walk to the trash can.

Many of the people on this island just want to drink ,eat and have a good time and to the hell with everything else. This is how is many places like this end up all over this beautiful lost paradise. Truly shameful.

Why would you want to come back to this. But I am sure many people expect someone to come clean up for them, which I have been doing for the last 6 years trying to maintain this beautiful island to be the paradise that it is. But I think it is hopeless,

Your ancestors would be ashamed

The ancestors would be spinning in their graves seeing how many of the people are treating this paradise. Your ancestors that sweated blood and tears to build this island.

I have lived here for the last 9 years now and it seems like I came here to pick up after many of the people who do this, who have no love for the island, yet I was not born here nor raised here but it sure seems like I love this island than most of the people who do this.

But I am sure many of you who treat the island like this would wave your flags proudly. Sorry to say but that pride doesn’t mean nothing when you do this. . Please tell me why many of you want to destroy this paradise? why do you want this paradise to be turned into a landfill. Please help me understand.

It’s your turn to pick up

I just finished taking garbage out of the beach itself. Which I made a video and will be coming soon on my youtube.

I was going to pick it up. But I am exhausted by this. I left garbage bags on top it’s your turn to pick up. I challenge you. Go and pick up one bagful of garbage each. Take my one bag challenge as I wrote here. Let’s reverse this trend and let’s take care of this paradise.

In closing

Many people would be angry at me for speaking out against this. How can you accept this as normal and not be outraged. I love this island and if you love this land, then you will defend it and take care of it and not allow your home to be destroyed. We just choose to stay silent and ignore the problems and just continue to drown in them. Wake up. this is paradise.

Video: The Stupidity Of Humanity: Finding Mask At The Beach

The stupidity of humanity. The first week they reopen the beaches here in Puerto Rico and this is what I find. The newest addition of trash to be found everywhere alongside diapers, beer cans, cigarette butts and plastic everything.

We as humans are worried about this pandemic, but we should be worried about what we are doing to the planet. We are the real virus consuming everything in site and destroying the planet and the species that inhabit it.

We must start changing our ways and decide to start being the cure.

In the beautiful paradise Puerto Rico The majority of the people Grow Garbage, not food as you would find garbage all over the roads and the beautiful beaches and rivers . Which is why for the past 5 years I have dedicated my time to walk around with signs and clean up the beaches and rivers as I decided to be the guardian of the beaches and rivers. I have lived in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico for the last 8 years. Here we have such a beautiful paradise and sadly I find that the majority of the people do not love this beautiful island as most treat this l paradise as a landfill.

Even in the land I just acquired. In the following video, I rant about the garbage I found next to my land. I plan on replacing the garbage with fruit trees and flowers as I wrote here. It is a shame that many people in Puerto Rico choose to grow garbage instead of food. When 85 percent of the food is imported.

Many Families In Puerto Rico Enjoy The Island W/ Garbage

Ojo de agua, Manati, A beach that gets dirty all the time because the people want garbage cans conveniently for them everywhere even in hard to get to places like this. I cleaned what I could as I always do as I always do my one bag trash challenge. I picked up 3 bags of garbage. Seems to me that many families in Puerto Rico enjoying their beaches with garbage.

A family leaves more garbage and a diaper

A man who was with his family was seeing me take pictures and said that the people were pigs and proceeded to help me some, but I think that was because he probably felt guilty because it was him and his family leaving their garbage there. I took the three bags to put them into my small car which does not have much room, then left it on the side of my car so that I could enjoy the beach and later when I returned I could put them into my small car.

I returned to my car just to find that same family leaving their garbage on top of the garbage I just picked up, including a diaper. It is truly amazing how many of the families are here on this island. This is the mentality of many of the people here. I have seen it countless of times and even recorded one family for leaving their garbage, in which I got shot for. Click here to read about that.

I was so pissed off. You try to do something good and preserve this paradise and the people just want to see it destroyed because they have this mindset. This mindset of not wanting to take responsibility for nothing and having a dependency on wanting others to come clean up after them. I guess that is why many want statehood.

This family came in 3 vehicles. Any person with the right judgement and respect would have said you know what let me help this man and take a bag with me, Nope, they said let’s add on give him our trash that had food and lots of ants on it and a diaper. Oh and they even left the top of their grill and 2 gallons of water. Including more garbage down below near the ocean, including the 2 diapers on the rock, which their kids will come back to play with in the future. They also left all their cigarette butts scattered about on the sands and rocks. I wrote a post here on why the world is not an ashtray.

They bring all there garbage to the beach when it is heavy yet can’t take it out when it is light. I don’t understand that logic.

Why are most families this way?

I find that many families in Puerto Rico share this mentality. The whole family goes to the beach to celebrate a birthday or whatever, get drunk, which I think alcoholism comes into play as I wrote a blog about that here. They bring a big speaker to blast their music and leave the beaches and rivers like this. I see the families smoking cigarettes near their children, even saw one of their what appeared to be 16 years old teenage boy smoking cigarettes with them, this is the type of environment they breed for the future of this island. Yelling, screaming, teaching their kids how to hump each other to reggaeton. Not have a single care about the world and the people around them. Their children will be nothing but clones of their family. They will go on to teach their children this type of mentality and thus we have the dwindling of a generation.

You don’t respect the earth, because you don’t respect yourselves, a sign I have walked around with as I decided to be the guardian of the beaches and rivers here.

Furthermore, I think this is the mentality that needs to change. I strongly feel this mentality is bred partly because of lack of education, which breeds ignorance. But I feel that the people need to take the steps to educate themselves. I am sure they have internet, where they could choose to educate themselves in order to educate their children. These families need to instill respect in themselves because I don’t think they respect themselves. Nor do I feel that these families in Puerto Rico love this paradise because someone who truly loves this island do not leave their trash all over the place.

Not all families are this way

Please understand that I don’t speak about all the families in Puerto Rico are this way. Because on the other side of the spectrum, there are families cultivating respect and love as I have met many. Including a wonderful man and his wife with their daughter who came to that beach when I found that garbage. The first thing the man does is ask me if I needed a bag. He then he pops his hood open and takes out a massive bag and proceeds to pick up more garbage that was still all around.

This is what this family is cultivating for their daughter. Moreover, they also feed the strays. at the beach. This family is what Puerto Rico is all about. Those families that still hold on to the tradition of caring. What most of those other families have lost as most families seem lost themselves.

I took 2 of the bags out , which could only fit and he took the rest. I drove down to this large dumpster down the road and threw it in there. Wow, What a concept. But that is a hard thing for most of those families.

Lost hope

When I see things like what that family did by leaving their garbage there, I lost hope. Right there, I could not fathom that they would do such a thing. But when these wonderful souls came, they lit a spark of hope back into me. It was great to see after everything I have seen. This is what the this beautiful island needs more of, because it just seems like there are more people doing bad then good

We left the beach cleaner that day, but there was so much more garbage around. We can’t do it all, but if we all did our part we can change this world. It starts with taking care of our planet instead of cultivating a mindset of wanting to trash our world.

We need to cultivate a different mindset. regain the traditions that you have lost. respect, love, caring. Don’t allow those values to die. breed a different environment. Instead of drinking, smoking cigarettes and partying on front of your kids, read a book instead. Meditate, do yoga, do something other then the never ending cycle that you have conformed to and now call culture. To change this world we are going to need to change ourselves. We must evolve instead of continuing to bury ourselves.

Puerto Rico: Replace Garbage W/ Flowers and Fruit Trees!

I have been living in the beautiful lost paradise that is Puerto Rico for the last 8 years and over the last 5 years. When I say lost paradise, I say that because I feel that this beautiful paradise has gotten lost because the people have neglected it for far too long. It is the reason why I want to see Puerto Rico replace garbage with flowers and fruit trees.

I have been on a crusade to raise awareness to all the litter around this island, as I chose to be the guardian of the beaches and rivers as I grew tired of seeing such a beautiful island be neglected and disrespected by the people.

I would walk through the beaches and rivers with signs that I made with aggressive messages to wake people up to this reality. Also, would pick up trash day in and day out so that others could follow my example.

Here we have this beautiful tropical island with so much vast land with nothing but garbage. Garbage is what seems to be what the people continue to grow. When there could be fruit trees and flowers all over this whole island. Just like the all the mango trees found scattered throughout the island, there should also be fruit trees of many different varieties. Avocados, Jackfruit, oranges galore.

I want to see this beautiful island and our beautiful world, replace garbage with fruit trees and flowers. In order so that it could live up to the paradise that it truly is. I think it should start with communities. Cleaning up their neighborhoods and planting fruit trees, so that they could share them like they do the mangoes. Plant beautiful flowers for the birds and the bees, butterflies and other wildlife.

replace garbage with flowers — So many people dump their tires at the beaches and rivers and on the side of the roads. We can take it and do this. Flowers everywhere!

Hurricane maria knocked many of the trees down. I believe we must take the initiative to regrow what was destroyed. We should also stop destroying it further by treating this paradise like a landfill.

Let’s start being the change. Lets stop accepting garbage as normal. let’s start taking action to make this island and this world that is our home a better place wherever we are.
