Ideas: Local Vegetable Waste Pickup For Composting Initiative Puerto Rico
Ideas: Local Vegetable Waste Pickup For Composting Initiative Puerto Rico T the initiative is simple. We are sending vegetable waste off to the landfill when we could be using it for composting and returning it back to the Earth to create fertile ground as all it’s nutrients are eroding away. I use compost for my garden for my plants. So my proposal is to implement a system locally to gather vegetable waste from those who don’t compost their waste. Cigarette butts, the most littered item in the world, with roughly 4.5 trillion being tossed each year. I wrote a blog about the world not being an ashtray, which can be found here. What It Means To Be An Earth Warrior
What it means to be an Earth Warrior I Am an Earth Warrior We live in an era of disconnection—a time when humanity has turned its back on the very forces that sustain us. We see the Earth as a resource to exploit, a backdrop for our desires, rather than the living, breathing home it truly is. But for me, this is not just a fact to accept; it’s a battle to fight. I have been living in Puerto Rico for eight years, and during this time, I’ve dedicated myself to raising awareness about the waste and destruction we inflict on this paradise. I walk barefoot across the sands of…
