Video: Joe Rogan on the Society Trap: Do What You love. Stop Being Part Of The Machine.

Video: Joe Rogan: Do what you love. Stop being part of the machine.

“We got sidetracked and diverted into these boxes, these cubicles in offices,” he says. “So instead of investing your time in a passion, you’ve sold your life to work for an uncaring machine that doesn’t understand you. That’s the problem with our society. And what’s the reward? Go home and get a big TV.”

Everything said in this video by Joe Rogan, is something I, and I would assume most people are conveying. Just like Alan watts would say, do what you love and forget the money. But we are a cog in this machine. We end up doing things we hate, walking around with signs on our backs in 90 degree weather, handing out papers and I ask is this is your purpose on this world.

Many will say well get yourself a proper education and you can do what you love. But that’s a load of bs. Many people go into school thinking they know what they want and end up stuck in doing something they dread. Maybe what they thought they wanted to do was just something sold to them by their parents and friends. But doing something we love should come naturally.

Money should not be the reason we go out and do something. We are living in this world just to exist, just to live in artificial mediocrity. Many would say we can’t all do what we love. We continue to have this pessimistic view and we just continue to narrow our horizons to see past everything. We just accept everything for how they are because we have become numb to it all.

I think we can all do what we love. But it starts with changing our perception of things. How we view the world.

Feel free to leave comments below. What do work and society mean to you? Do you agree with Rogan’s and my own assessment. Let me know your thoughts.

WATCH: Human Resources Social Engineering In The 20th Century (Documentary)

Human resources social engineering in the 20th century

Human Resources: Social Engineering in the 20th Century explores the rise of mechanistic philosophy and the exploitation of human beings under modern hierarchical systems. Topics covered include behaviorism, scientific management, work-place democracy, schooling, frustration-aggression hypothesis and human experimentation

“Essentially,” says Scott, “this film is about the rise of mechanistic philosphy and the exploitation of human beings under modern hierarhical systems.” The film includes original interviews with: “Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Rebecca Lemov (“World as Laboratory”), Christopher Simpson (“The Science of Coercion”), George Ritzer (“The McDonaldization of Society”), Morris Berman (“The Reenchantment of the World”), John Taylor Gatto (“Dumbing us Down”), Alfie Kohn (“What does it mean to be well educated?”) and others.”

I think this documentary is great so that others can see these perspectives and realize how we have been manipulated, conditioned and domesticated into this way of being. Really gives you an insight on how exploited and oppressed we truly are. Well enjoy this documentary. Leave any comments down below.

WATCH: Living Utopia (Anarchism in Spain Documentary)

Living utopia (Anarchism in Spain documentary)

A great documentary  about the Spanish revolution and anarchism in 1936. I just wonder what would have happen if it continued and fascism did not destroy that movement.  I truly believe this is something that we need. We can learn from them, we can take ideas from our past and evolve it for the present. Unity and solidarity with our brothers and sisters all over the world would be needed to stand together. To build a better world, a better tomorrow. Nothing is perfect. It won’t be this living utopia. But what we currently have now is far from perfect, we live in a system where a government of a select few oppress and exploit the many. Anarchism is freeing ourselves from those chains. To go beyond the mundane bullshit we have been living. I wrote a blog entitled what anarchy means to me, which can be found by clicking here.

There are many of us, many of us who are anarchist, but many don’t know it. Many people have this misconstrued definition of what an anarchist truly is as we often define it with what the media construes us to be. But many out there have this yearning for true freedom, this yearning to be free from the shackles and control of governments. What if instead of being born to an unjust system that like everything else, is indoctrinated into us. What if instead of conditioning ourselves into this competitive system with each other, this dog eat dog world. We condition our children to grow up to think freely. To develop their own way of thinking without the controls and indoctrination. Let them condition themselves and to learn how to treat others the way that they want to be treated. What if from the start they were conditioned to respect all living things. To be truly independent.  They have molded our minds to fit in the constraints of boxes. What if our minds were molded to not fit in the confines of a box, but to be free!
